The comic strip character Snoopy and his arch rival the Red Baron were a pop culture phenomenon in the 60's. The Royal Guardsman capitalized on this by releasing the bubble gum hit "Snoopy vs. The Red Baron," which reached number 2 on the charts in 1967 with sales of 3 million. Having found their meal ticket, the band proceeded to milk the Snoopy thing to the hilt, releasing the albums Snoopy vs. The Red Baron, Snoopy and His Friends and Snoopy for President. This 8-track, the last in the Snoopy series, is a sampling of songs from all three records, and is really just further expolitation of their Snoopy motif. There are hardly any Christmas songs on the tape at all, and it's not even until track 3 that the first one appears! What a weird tape...but it's fun to listen to, with a voice-over stitching the Red Baron story together from song to song.
