This unit is the model of idiot-proof simplicity and ease-of-use.
The package credits the manufacturer as Radio Shack, but the
design of this fine item is credited to the venerable name of
Ampex. Indeed, this unit looks and feels like a
"professional" audio accessory. It's basically a loop
that cycles through all 4 channels while cleaning the heads, but
it also contains a proprietary, "patented magnetic
device" to de-magnetize the heads accurately every time.
Both functions are performed simultaneously and tests showed
excellent overall results.
