Singing Machine 8-track Karaoke Machine

Singing Machine 8-track Karoake The Singing Machine Karaoke 8-Track system wasn't marketed until 1982, long after the 8-Track heyday was over. The deck was a well constructed unit with pushbuttons for power, track select, single play, start, and cue (fast forward). On the right side of the deck there's a slider control for mixing the microphone with the largely instrumental music on the tapes. Below the slider are rotary knobs for adjusting pitch and echo. The individual tapes are rather short, with each tape having a total of four songs corresponding to the four program tracks. The highest tape number I've seen is #124, so it appears there were a lot of different tapes available for this system. Although the 8-Track Singing Machine is long gone, the Singing Machine Company  lives on producing Karaoke cassette decks and CD+G discs and players.
