I'm not a
"serious" cartridge collector myself (though I can be a
bit fetishistic about 45s and 78s), but if I see something
interesting on 8-track I'll usually part with the 50 cents or so
that they're usually priced. Despite a powerful allergy to the
music and personality of David Lee Roth, I
couldn't help but be intrigued by the Columbia House 8-track
edition of his 1986 solo effort 'Eat 'em and Smile.' When I found
it several years ago, it was the latest non-promo 8-track I'd
ever seen. I've scanned the front and back of the cartridge
(still in its Columbia House generic cardboard sleeve) and
attached the results. Pardon the appearance of the back--the rear
label has a large pocket of air sealed under it.
